Teiko Dornor has emerged as one of the most influential plus size models of her time, with her work featured the Victoria and Albert Museum, MTV Base, shows such as Kulture to Kouture and natural hair and lifestyle showcases Adornment, as well as being featured in various magazines such, Black hair and beauty, Pride, Black Hair gracing the pages of the Caribbean's POSH Magazine and Shabeau Mag, Leadership and Lifestyle Magazine, and covergirl for, Jive Newspaper, MIMI magazine, Sankofa and face of Tina Atiemo design house and modelling for Gisella Boutique , Sleek costmetics as well as other national and international press.
Born and raised in London, Dornor the daughter of Ghanaian immigrants successfully obtained a degree in Politics and International Relations from England's prestigious University of Reading, followed by a four month internship with the United Nations in Lebanon where she pursed her passion for change in society.
Whilst in Beirut Teiko, Dornor found inspiration and grew more determined to make a change through her work, the opportunity to meet dignitaries, ambassadors, politicians fueling her ambition. Whilst in Law school in the UK she entered modelling almost by accident, after being asked to model for a friend , since putting her studies on hold she has emerged into a model who is focused on reminding the world that beauty is not one dimensional.
In 2006 Dornor became co founder of Miss Plus Africa, an organisation that seeks to highlight the beauty and diversity of the African woman, the plus size pageant works in association with NGOs across the continent combating disease, empowering through education and supporting overall development on the continent.
In 2007 Teiko was selected as face of Virgin Islands Fashion week, where she represented designers from all over the Caribbean, showcasing the best in Caribbean design. As both a model and presenter she promoted awareness of battered and vulnerable women, as well as the plus size figure.

As well as modelling Dornor also produces and presents the beauty segment for a programme called Access, aired on sky channel OBE TV , a UK based that airs around the Europe and the Middle East.
